How we handle your data — anonymous by default, under the GDPR.
This policy explains what data Aurora Arcana processes, why, for how long, and your rights under the GDPR (and equivalent laws such as Brazil's LGPD).
1. Principles
We don't require sign-up, login, or email to use the app. It works anonymously by default, and you stay in control of your data.
2. Anonymous identifier (UUID)
On first launch, the app generates an anonymous identifier (UUID v4) stored on your device. It links your history to the device without identifying you personally. Uninstalling the app erases the UUID and local history irreversibly.
3. Data we process
- Birth data (date, time, and place) when you calculate a birth chart. The place is converted to coordinates by the public GeoNames service. Legal basis: consent.
- Conversations with the Aurora counselor, processed to generate the responses.
- Minimal technical data for operation and stability (aggregate analytics).
We don't sell personal data.
4. Retention and deletion
Conversations with Aurora stay on our servers for up to 90 days, solely for continuity of service. You can request deletion at any time via the privacy channel. Uninstalling the app removes local data.
5. Third-party advertising
On mobile, the free mode is ad-supported via Google AdMob, which may use advertising identifiers under its own policy. You can limit tracking in your device settings.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR (and the LGPD), you can access, correct, export, and delete your data, and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, write to [email protected].
7. Children
The app is not directed at minors and does not knowingly collect their data. If we identify a child's data without proper consent, it will be removed.
8. Security
Data travels over encrypted connections and is stored on access-controlled servers. No system is fully immune, but we apply technical and organizational measures to reduce risk.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated. Material changes are reflected in the update date at the top of this page.
